Operation in explosive atmospheres is prohibited.
Never extract fluids, flammable gases, explosive dusts as well as undiluted acids and solvents with the appliance. These include petrol, paint thinners or heating oil, which can form explosive vapours or mixtures, also acetone, undiluted acids and solvents because these attack the materials used in the appliance.
Never use the device to clean people or animals.
Make sure there are no objects in the work area that can be caught by the rotating brush and flung away.
Check the appliance and the accessories each time before operation, to make sure it is safe and working correctly.
The appliance is not a vacuum cleaner. Do not extract more liquid than you sprayed. Never use the appliance for extracting dry dirt.
The appliance may only be used to clean smooth floors that are insensitive to moisture and polishing.

Keep detergents out of the reach of children.
Never use the recommended detergents undiluted. These products are operationally safe since they do not contain any acids, alkali or substances that are harmful to the environment. Should detergents come into contact with eyes, rinse these out immediately and thoroughly using water and seek medical attention immediately. The same applies if detergents are swallowed.
Only use the detergents recommended by the manufacturer and observe the application, disposal and safety instructions of the detergent manufacturers.
If the appliance is found to be in need of repairs or in any way unsafe, or contributes to an unsafe condition, the matter shall be reported immediately to the user’s designated authority, and the appliance shall not be operated until it has been restored to safe operating condition.

This device is suitable for commercial and industrial use, e.g. in hotels, schools, hospitals, factories, shops, offices, and rental companies. Use the device only in accordance with the information in these operating instructions.
The device may only be used for cleaning smooth surfaces that are insensitive to water and polishing.
The device is not suitable for cleaning frozen floors (e.g. in cold stores).
The device is not suitable for use in potentially explosive environments.
During unpacking, check the contents for completeness. If any accessories are missing or in the event of any shipping damage, please notify your dealer.
Charge the battery pack (see operating instructions for the battery pack and charger).
Insert the battery pack into the battery pack holder on the device until it audibly engages in place.
Use of unsuitable detergents and care agents
The use of unsuitable detergents and care agents can damage the device and lead to the exclusion of any guarantee.
Use only KÄRCHER detergents.
Pay attention to the correct dosage.
Use KÄRCHER detergents or care agents for floor cleaning as required.
When dosing the detergents and care agents, pay attention to the manufacturer's specifications.
To avoid foam formation, first fill the fresh water tank with water and then with the detergent or care agent.
To avoid overflowing, leave space for detergents or care agents when filling with water.
Grasp the fresh water tank via the side recessed grips and remove it from the device.
Open the tank cap.
Fill the fresh water tank with clean tap water (max. 104°F (40°C)) to no more than the MAX mark. If detergent is to be used, fill in less fresh water accordingly.
If necessary, add KÄRCHER detergent or care agent to the fresh water tank.
Overdosing or underdosing of detergent or care agent
Can lead to poor cleaning results.
Observe the recommended dosage for detergent and care agents.
For optimal cleaning and care results, we recommend using only KÄRCHER products and the dosing head.
Unscrew the round bottle lock.
Screw the dosing head onto the round bottle.
Squeeze the round bottle in the middle until the required amount of detergent has flowed into the dosing head.
Take the following into account:
The specifications of the detergent manufacturer for the mixing ratio of detergent and fresh water
The corresponding scale on the dosing head
The capacity of the tank
Open the cover on the dosing head.
Fill the detergent into the tank.
Close the lid on the dosing head.
Close the tank cap.
Insert the fresh water tank into the device until it engages.
Moisture
Material damage to sensitive floors
Before using the device, check the floor in an inconspicuous place for water consistency.
Do not clean any water-sensitive coverings such as untreated cork floors, as moisture can penetrate and damage the floor.
Risk of damage from moisture and detergent, as well as from the device tipping over
Risk of damage to sensitive floors and the cleaning rollers as a result of prolonged exposure to moisture and detergents.
Risk of material damage due to the device tipping over.
Always set the device to its parking position whenever you take a break and when you have finished work.
When switching it off, do not lean the device against walls, doors or other objects.
Material damage
Material damage to the device from large, pointed, bulky objects.
Do not use or store the device on hard, coarse dirt or hard objects, as these parts could become jammed underneath the waste water tank and scratch the floor and the waste water tank itself.
Before starting work and storing the device, remove any objects such as shards and pebbles from the floor.
For optimal cleaning results, wash the cleaning rollers in a washing machine at 60 °C before using them for the first time.
Work backwards towards the door to prevent leaving any footprints on the freshly cleaned floor.
The floor is cleaned by moving the device back and forth at the same speed as when vacuuming.
Activate the boost function for heavy soiling. To do this, press and hold the boost function button. When the boost function is activated, the roller speed and the amount of fresh water are increased. Let the device slide slowly across the floor without exerting pressure on the device.
If the cleaning rollers are blocked as a result of a jam, for example, the device will switch off.
The warning light illuminates.
Remove the blockage.
To switch the device on again, press the ON / OFF switch twice.
The first press clears the error and the second press switches the device on.
If the ON / OFF switch is not pressed, the warning light will go out after 10 seconds. To switch the device on, press the ON / OFF switch once.
When the battery pack is almost flat, the ON / OFF switch will start to flash.
Press the ON / OFF switch.
The device switches off.
Remove the battery pack from the device and charge it (see chapter Finishing operation).
To prevent the battery pack from being totally discharged, the device will switch itself off before the battery pack is completely flat.
Switch off the device and set it to its parking position whenever you take a break and when you have finished work. When the device is in its parking position, the cleaning rollers do not touch the floor.
When switching off the device, do not lean it against walls, doors or other objects; instead, set it to its parking position.
Uncontrolled movement
Equipment and material damage
As soon as the device is switched on, the cleaning rollers start rotating.
Hold the handle so that the device does not move by itself.
Fresh or waste water tank not inserted
Material damage
Before starting the cleaning work, make sure that the fresh water tank is filled with water, and the waste water tank is inserted in the device.
Remove the cleaning rollers from the device (see chapter Cleaning the cleaning rollers).
Moisten the cleaning rollers with fresh water.
Mount the cleaning rollers.
Press the ON / OFF switch.
The device switches on.
Activate the boost function to clean stubborn dirt (see chapter General information on operation).
Empty the waste water tank as soon as the fresh water tank is empty, or if the device no longer absorbs moisture and there is water left on the floor.
Press the ON / OFF switch.
The device switches off.
Set the device to its parking position (see chapter General information on operation).
Disengage the two locking flaps on the device.
The waste water tank detaches from the device.
Lift the device and set it to one side.
When transporting it to a draining area, do not hold the waste water tank by the lid, but position both of your hands at the sides of the waste water tray. Keep the waste water tank level, otherwise waste water can escape.
Empty the waste water tank.
In the case of stubborn dirt, rinse out the waste water tank with tap water (see chapter Cleaning the waste water tank).
Clean the sweep bins (see chapter Cleaning the sweep bins).
Insert the waste water tank into the device in reverse order.
Risk of damage from moisture and detergent, as well as from the device tipping over
Risk of damage to sensitive floors and the cleaning rollers as a result of prolonged exposure to moisture and detergents.

Always set the device to its parking position whenever you take a break and when you have finished work.

Press the ON / OFF switch.
The device switches off.
Set the device to its parking position (see chapter General information on operation).
If there is a large accumulation of dirt, the cleaning rollers can be subjected to an intermediate cleaning process by using the rinsing function.
When work is complete, the cleaning rollers must be removed and cleaned under running water or washed in a washing machine before the device is placed in storage (see chapter Cleaning the cleaning rollers). The rinsing function does not replace the final thorough cleaning process.
Press the ON / OFF switch.
The device switches off.
Set the device to its parking position (see chapter General information on operation).
Check the filling level in the fresh water tank (this must be at least 50%).
If necessary, fill the fresh water tank accordingly (see chapter Filling the fresh water tank).
Press and hold the boost function button.
Press and hold the ON / OFF switch.
The rinsing function is activated after approx. 3 seconds. The cleaning rollers are then rotated and rinsed.
The ON / OFF switch flashes.
Release the boost function button and the ON / OFF switch.
The device will switch off automatically after approx. 2 minutes.
The rinsing function can be stopped at any time by pressing the ON / OFF switch.
Empty the waste water tank (see chapter Emptying the waste water tank).
Check the filling level in the fresh water tank and fill the tank if necessary (see chapter Filling the fresh water tank).
Press the ON / OFF switch.
The device switches off.
Set the device to its parking position (see chapter General information on operation).
Press the unlocking button for the battery pack and remove the battery pack from the battery pack holder.
Charge the battery pack.
Also charge battery packs after use if they are partially discharged.
Stuck dirt
Stuck dirt can permanently damage the device.
We recommend cleaning the device completely after each use.
Clean the device (see chapter Cleaning the device).
Risk of damage and the development of odors due to liquids and damp dirt
Liquids and damp dirt in the device can lead to the accumulation of bacteria and the development of odors when the device is not being used or if it is in storage.
Damp dirt can dry up in the device and become caked on the cleaning rollers, thereby impairing the cleaning performance of the device.
Empty the fresh water tank and waste water tank when finishing work and before storing the device.
Clean the waste water tank, sweep bins and cleaning rollers.
Allow the clean cleaning rollers to air dry, e.g. mounted on the device or standing upright. Do not place wet cleaning rollers on moisture-sensitive surfaces, in closed containers or in cupboards.
Clean the device (see chapter Cleaning the device).
Clean the waste water tank (see chapter Cleaning the waste water tank).
Clean the sweep bins (see chapter Cleaning the sweep bins).
Clean the cleaning rollers (see chapter Cleaning the cleaning rollers).
Charge the battery pack (see operating instructions for the battery pack and charger).
Set the device to its parking position (see chapter General information on operation) and store it indoors in a dry location.
Failure to observe the weight

Be aware of the weight of the device during transportation.
To carry the device, grasp the handle bowl underneath the battery pack holder.
Secure the device in accordance with the respective applicable guidelines to prevent it from slipping or overturning when in transport.

Press the unlocking button for the battery pack and remove the battery pack from the battery pack holder to prevent it from discharging.

Press the ON / OFF switch.
The device switches off.
Set the device to its parking position (see chapter General information on operation).
Empty the waste water tank (see chapter Emptying the waste water tank).
Pull the lid handle and remove the lid.
Clean the waste water tray and the lid using tap water.
Allow the waste water tray and the lid to dry, or dry them using a lint-free cloth.
Assemble the waste water tank in reverse order and insert it into the device.
Stuck dirt
Stuck dirt can permanently damage the device.
We recommend cleaning the device after each use.
Clean the sweep bins on a regular basis.
Press the ON / OFF switch.
The device switches off.
Set the device to its parking position (see chapter General information on operation).
Remove the waste water tank (see chapter Emptying the waste water tank).
Remove the sweep bins.
Disengage the sweep bins to the side and swing them forwards.
Remove the sweep bins to the side.
Clean both of the sweep bins under running water.
Remove the cleaning brush from the lid of the waste water tank and remove any dirt from the combs (circled in the illustration).
Insert both of the sweep bins in reverse order.
Detergent residue in the cleaning rollers
Foaming
Wash the cleaning rollers under running water after each use, or wash the cleaning rollers in a washing machine.
Damage caused by washing the cleaning rollers with fabric softener or using a tumble dryer
Damage to the microfibers
Do not use any fabric softener when washing the cleaning rollers in a washing machine.
Do not put the cleaning rollers in a tumble dryer.
Do not bleach or iron the cleaning rollers.
Press the ON / OFF switch.
The device switches off.
Set the device to its parking position (see chapter General information on operation).
Grasp the recessed grips at the side of the cleaning rollers and unscrew the rollers.
Clean the cleaning rollers under running water, or wash them in a washing machine at max. 60 °C.
Clean the roller drives with a damp cloth.
Turn the cleaning rollers on the roller drives. Pay attention to the color coding for the inner part of the roller and the roller drive (green to green and blue to blue).
Mount the rollers on the device or allow them to dry standing upright.
Stuck dirt
Stuck dirt can permanently damage the device.
We recommend cleaning the device after each use.
Clean the water distribution strips on a regular basis.
Press the ON / OFF switch.
The device switches off.
Set the device to its parking position (see chapter General information on operation).
Remove the waste water tank (see chapter Emptying the waste water tank).
Remove the cleaning rollers (see chapter Cleaning the cleaning rollers).
Remove the covers from the water distribution strips.
Note the side markings on the covers and on the device itself (L to L and R to R).
Clean the covers under running water.
Clean both of the water distribution strips (circled in the illustration) using a damp cloth.
Check the fresh water inlet openings (arrows) for contamination; remove stubborn dirt with the cleaning brush if necessary.
Assemble in reverse order.
Malfunctions often have simple causes that you can remedy yourself using the following overview. When in doubt, or in the case of malfunctions not mentioned here, please contact your authorized Customer Service.
The cleaning rollers do not turn and the warning light illuminates
Cause:
The safety switch-off function of the drive motor has been triggered, e.g. as a result of excessive pressure on the cleaning rollers or due to an impact against a wall or corner.
Remedy:
Press the ON / OFF switch twice.
Only move the device back and forth when cleaning; do not exert any pressure on the device.
Cause:
The cleaning rollers are jammed.
Remedy:
Check whether the cleaning rollers have been jammed by an object. Remove the jammed object.
Check if any dirt has accumulated in the sweep bins and remove it (see chapter Cleaning the sweep bins).
Check to ensure the sweep bins are inserted correctly. To do this, remove the sweep bins and insert them again.
The device cannot be switched on
Cause:
The battery pack is flat.
Remedy:
Remove the battery pack from the battery pack holder and charge it (see chapter Finishing operation).
Insert the charged battery pack into the battery pack holder until it audibly engages in place (see chapter Inserting the battery pack).
Cause:
The battery pack is not locked into the battery pack holder.
Remedy:
Insert the battery pack into the battery pack holder until it audibly engages in place (see chapter Inserting the battery pack).
The device does not pick up the dirt
Cause:
There is no water in the fresh water tank.
Remedy:
Fill the fresh water tank with water (see chapter Filling the fresh water tank).
Cause:
The fresh water tank is not seated properly in the device.
Remedy:
Insert the fresh water tank so that it is firmly seated in the device.
Cause:
The waste water tank is missing or not properly seated in the device.
Remedy:
Check to ensure the lid is correctly mounted on the waste water tray (see chapter Cleaning the waste water tank).
Remedy:
Insert the waste water tank into the device and secure it correctly.
Cause:
The sweep bins are missing or not properly seated in the waste water tank.
Remedy:
Insert the sweep bins correctly into the waste water tank (see chapter Cleaning the sweep bins).
Cause:
The cleaning rollers are missing or not properly seated in the device.
Remedy:
Insert the cleaning rollers and screw them correctly onto the roller drives (see chapter Cleaning the cleaning rollers).
Cause:
The cleaning rollers are dirty or worn.
Remedy:
Clean or replace the cleaning rollers.
Cause:
The water distribution strips are dirty.
Remedy:
Clean the water distribution strips (see chapter Cleaning the water distribution strips).
The cleaning rollers are too dry
Cause:
The cleaning rollers are not sufficiently moistened.
Remedy:
Moisten the cleaning rollers by activating the boost function (see chapter General information on operation).
Cause:
The fresh water filter is dirty.
Remedy:
Clean the fresh water filter.
Remove the fresh water tank (see chapter Filling the fresh water tank).
Remove the fresh water filter.
Clean the fresh water filter under running water.
Assemble in reverse order.
Unsatisfactory cleaning result
Cause:
The cleaning rollers were not washed before first use.
Remedy:
Wash the cleaning rollers at 60 °C in a washing machine (see chapter Cleaning the cleaning rollers).
Cause:
The cleaning rollers are dirty.
Remedy:
Clean the cleaning rollers.
Cause:
The cleaning rollers are not sufficiently moistened.
Remedy:
Moisten the cleaning rollers by activating the boost function (see chapter Start working).
Cause:
The water distribution strips are dirty.
Remedy:
Clean the water distribution strips (see chapter Cleaning the water distribution strips).
Cause:
The wrong detergent or dosage has been used.
Remedy:
Only use the specified KÄRCHER detergents and pay attention to the correct dosage.
Cause:
There are residues of foreign detergents on the floor.
Remedy:
Thoroughly remove detergent residue from the cleaning rollers with water.
Clean the floor repeatedly using the device and clean cleaning rollers; do not use any detergent when doing this.
The detergent residue on the floor is removed.
The water absorption is not optimal
Cause:
The sweep bins are not seated properly in the device.
Remedy:
Insert the sweep bins correctly into the device (see chapter Cleaning the sweep bins).
Cause:
The cleaning rollers are worn.
Remedy:
Replace the cleaning rollers (see chapter Cleaning the cleaning rollers).
The device is losing waste water
Cause:
The waste water tank is full.
Remedy:
Empty the waste water tank (see chapter Emptying the waste water tank).
Cause:
The waste water tank is not seated properly in the device.
Remedy:
Insert the waste water tank correctly into the device (see chapter Emptying the waste water tank).
Cause:
The sweep bins are not seated properly in the device.
Remedy:
Insert the sweep bins correctly into the device (see chapter Cleaning the sweep bins).
Cause:
The waste water tank is damaged.
Remedy:
Contact the authorized Customer Service.
