Observe all basic precautions when using the device, including the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS MACHINE
This device is exclusively intended for private household use.
Risk of electric shock, burns and injuries
Know how to stop the product and bleed pressures quickly. Be thoroughly familiar with the controls.
Stay alert – watch what you are doing.
The device is not a toy. Exercise special care when using the device in the presence of children.
Keep operating area clear of all persons.
Do not operate the product when fatigued or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Do not overreach or stand on unstable support. Keep good footing and balance at all times.
Only use the device for the intended use.
The device may not be operated in explosive atmospheres.
Do not spray steam in the direction of another person, animal or electrical outlet.
Never fill solvents, solvent-containing liquids or undiluted acids (e.g. detergents, petrol, paint thinner, and acetone) into the water reservoir as these substances corrode the materials used in the device.
Do not operate the device without water in the tank. Always top off with water when needed.
Never insert objects into the device openings. Do not use the device if the device openings are blocked.
Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in off‑position before picking up or carrying the appliance. Carrying the appliance with your fingers on the switch or energizing appliance that have the switch on invites accidents.
Do not use with damaged battery charger output cord or plug. If appliance is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, contact customer service.
Do not pull or carry by the battery charger output cord, do not use battery charger output cord as a handle, do not close a door on the battery charger output cord, or pull battery charger output cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not run appliance over battery charger output cord. Keep battery charger output cord away from heated surfaces.
Have servicing performed by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the product is maintained.
Do not unplug by pulling battery charger output cord. To unplug, grasp plug.
Do not handle battery charger or appliance with wet hands.
Do not put any objects into openings. Do not use if openings are blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may reduce air flow.
Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of the body away from openings and moving parts.
Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
Do not charge the unit outdoors.
Use only the charger supplied by the manufacturer to charge the device.
Do not incinerate the device, even if it is severely damaged. The battery pack could catch fire and explode.
Short circuit hazard! Do not insert conductive objects (such as screwdrivers or similar) into the charger plug.
You may recharge the battery using only the original charger provided with the appliance or a charger approved by KÄRCHER.
In case of visual damage, replace the charger with original manufacturer suggested parts.
Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
Do not use a battery pack or appliance that is damaged or modified. Damaged or modified batteries may exhibit unpredictable behavior resulting in fire, explosion or risk of injury.
Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the battery pack or appliance outside of the temperature range specified in the instructions. Charging improperly or at temperatures outside of the specified range may damage the battery and increase the risk of fire.
The voltage indicated on the type plate must correspond to the supply voltage.
Do not expose a battery pack or appliance to fire or excessive temperature. Exposure to fire or temperature above 265 °F (130 °C) may cause explosion.
Store and use the charger in dry rooms only, ambient temperature 41‑104 °F (5‑40 °C).
Do not store and operate the appliance at temperatures below 32 °F (0 °C).
Never touch the mains plug with wet hands.
The battery has been tested as per the relevant directives for international transport and can be transported/shipped.

Missing or modified safety devices
Safety devices are provided for your own protection.
Never modify or bypass safety devices.
The power switch stops you from operating the device unintentionally.
If the lever on the trigger gun is released, the pressure switch switches the pump off; the low-pressure jet stops. If the lever is pressed, the pump switches on again.
The motor circuit breaker shuts off the device if power consumption it too high.

The low-pressure cleaner is intended for cleaning machines, vehicles, tools, facades, terraces, garden machines, pets, etc. with a low-pressure water jet without the addition of detergents.
The owner and/or user must have an understanding of the manufacturer’s operating instructions and warnings before using this device.
Warning information should be emphasized and understood.
If the operator is not fluent in English, the manufacturer’s instructions and warnings shall be read to and discussed with the operator in the operator’s native language by the purchaser/owner, making sure that the operator comprehends its contents.Owner and/or user must study and maintain for future reference the manufacturer’s instructions.
The scope of delivery for the appliance is shown on the packaging. During unpacking, check the contents for completeness. If any accessories are missing or in the event of any shipping damage, please contact customer service, see section Customer Service.

Place the device on a level surface.
Release the cover on the right-hand side from the charging socket and turn it downwards.
Insert the charging plug of the charger into the charging socket.
Plug the charger into a mains socket.
The battery is being charged.
The charge level indicator flashes during the charging process. When the battery is fully charged, it lights up continuously. For the charging time when the battery is empty, see chapter Technical data.
When the battery is fully charged, unplug the charger or the 12 V charger in the reverse order.
Impurities in the water
Damage to pump and accessories
Fill only clear water into the reservoir.
Make sure that only clear water is sucked in.
Incorrect water supply
Damage to the device
Do not fill the water reservoir with detergents, pesticides, or other additives.
Do not immerse the device in water.
Remove the water reservoir for filling.
Fold the carrying handle of the device forwards.
Lift the carrying handle of the device and the carrying handle of the water reservoir together.
Pivot the carrying handle of the device forwards.
Remove the water reservoir vertically upwards using the carrying handle of the water reservoir.
Open the lid on the water reservoir and fill the water reservoir with clear water.
Remove the trigger gun from the device.
Place the water reservoir onto the device.
Make sure that the low-pressure hose is in the recess and is not pinched.
Dry running of pump
Damage to the device
If the device does not build up any pressure within 2 minutes, then switch off the device and proceed according to the instructions in chapter Troubleshooting guide.
Press the power switch.
Press the lever of the trigger gun.
Approx. 2 minutes before the end of the operating time (see chapter Technical data), the charge level indicator starts to flash.
Failure to observe the safety data sheet
Serious damage to health due to improper use of the detergent.
Observe the safety data sheet of the detergent manufacturer, in particular the instructions for personal protective equipment.
Incorrect water supply
Damage to the device
Do not fill the water reservoir with detergents, pesticides, or other additives.
Spray the detergent sparingly on the dry surface and let it work for a while (do not let it dry).
Rinse off the loosened dirt with the low-pressure jet.
Release the lever of the trigger gun.
After approx. 5 minutes without operation, the device switches off automatically.
Remove the water reservoir.
Switch on the device.
Operate the lever of the trigger gun until no more water escapes.
Release the lever of the trigger gun.
Empty the water reservoir completely.
Place the water reservoir onto the device.
Failure to observe the weight
Risk of injury and damage
Be aware of the weight of the device during transportation.
Lift and carry the device by the carrying handle of the device.
Risk of injury, risk of damage!
Be aware of the weight of the device during transportation.
Stow or secure the device in accordance with the applicable guidelines so that it does not slide or jostle around during transport.
Stow or secure the device in such a way that it cannot slip or be thrown around in the vehicle when accelerating, braking, cornering or in the event of an accident.
Failure to observe the weight
Risk of injury and damage
Be aware of the weight of the device during storage.
Place the device on a level surface.
Store the device within the permitted ambient temperature (see chapter Technical data).
Risk of frost
Devices that are not completely emptied can be destroyed by frost.
Fully empty the device and accessories.
Protect the device from frost.
Empty the device (see chapter Finishing operation).
Contact with live parts
Injury due to electric shock
Before carrying out any work on the device, switch it off and disconnect it from the charger.
Clean the valve opener and the fine filter regularly.
Material damage due to improper cleaning
Take care not to damage the valve opener and the fine filter.
Remove the water reservoir, see chapter Water supply.
Remove the valve opener using suitable pliers.
Remove the fine filter using suitable pliers.
Clean the valve opener and the fine filter under running water.
Insert the fine filter and the valve opener into the device.
The pins on the fine filter and valve opener must point upwards.
Place the water reservoir onto the device.
Contact with live parts
Injury due to electric shock
Before carrying out any work on the device, switch it off and disconnect it from the charger.
Have repair work and work on electrical components carried out only by authorized Customer Service personnel.
Malfunctions often have simple causes that you can remedy yourself using the following overview. When in doubt, or in the case of malfunctions not mentioned here, please contact your authorized Customer Service.
The device does not run
Cause:
The charging state of the battery is too low.
Remedy:
Check the charging state of the battery, charge the battery if necessary.
Cause:
The motor is overloaded, the motor circuit breaker has tripped.
Remedy:
Switch off the device.
Allow the device to cool down.
Switch on the device and put it into operation.
Cause:
The ambient temperature is outside the permissible range (see chapter Technical data) and the motor circuit breaker has tripped.
Remedy:
Switch off the device.
Allow the device to cool down or heat up.
Switch on the device and put it into operation.
If the malfunction occurs several times, contact the authorized Customer Service.
Device does not reach required pressure
Cause:
Water shortage
Remedy:
Fill the water reservoir with clear water.
Cause:
The valve opener or fine filter are dirty.
Remedy:
Clean the valve opener and the fine filter (see chapter Cleaning the valve opener / fine filter).
Cause:
The valve opener is installed incorrectly.
Remedy:
Insert the valve opener into the device so that the pin points upwards.
Strong pressure fluctuations
Cause:
The flat jet nozzle is dirty.
Remedy:
Clean the flat jet nozzle: Remove the dirt from the nozzle bore with a needle and rinse with water from the front.
Cause:
Water shortage
Remedy:
Fill the water reservoir with clear water.
The device is leaking
Cause:
A slight leakage in the device is due to technical reasons.
Remedy:
In case of severe leakage, contact an authorized Customer Service center.
