Moisture
Material damage to sensitive floors
Check the surface to be cleaned for water sensitivity at an inconspicuous location before using the device. Do not clean water-sensitive floor coverings such as e.g. untreated cork floors, since the moisture can penetrate and damage the floor.Material damage
Damage to the device from pointed, large and/or bulky objects.
The device must not be stored and used on hard coarse dirt and objects, as the parts can get stuck under the waste water tank and cause scratches on the floor and tank. Before starting work and storing the device, remove objects such as shards, pebbles, screws or toy parts from the floor. To avoid striped patterns, test the device on an inconspicuous area before using on sensitive surfaces, e.g. wood or fine stone.
Do not allow it to remain in one area, but keep it in motion.
Observe the instructions for the floor covering manufacturer.
Work backwards towards the door so that no footprints are generated on the freshly washed floor.
Floor cleaning is performed using a to and fro movement at the same speed as when vacuuming.
Activate the boost function for heavy soiling. To do this, select the "Cleaning" tab in the main menu and press Right selection button repeatedly until the Boost function is selected. The Boost function is activated for 15 seconds by default and can be customised via the app. The device is then automatically in Cleaning mode 2. When the boost function is activated, the roller speed and the amount of water are increased. Let the device slide slowly across the floor without exerting pressure on the device.
The color of the rollers shows which application they are especially suitable for.
Yellow universal rollers: versatile use
Rollers with black stripes: Cleaning of insensitive hard floors (e.g. stone, ceramics); not suitable for sensitive natural stone floors (e.g. marble, terracotta)
For optimal cleaning results, wash the rollers in the washing machine at 60°C before using them for the first time.
Material damage due to loose rollers
This may damage the washing machine.
Place the rollers in a laundry net and load the washing machine with extra laundry. If a firmware update needs to be carried out, a notification is displayed in the app. The procedure for carrying out the updates is described in the app.
The current firmware version can be viewed both in the app and on the LCD display of the device under "Device information".

The last Cleaning mode setting is always activated when cleaning is started.
If necessary, activate the Boost function for cleaning stubborn dirt (see General information on operation).
The app can be used to select cleaning modes recommended by KÄRCHER for different floors. The cleaning modes differ in terms of water quantity and roller speed depending on the sensitivity of the floor. Downloading the App is described in the chapter Connecting the hard floor cleaner with Bluetooth and the app.
The following cleaning modes are available for different floor coverings:
Tiles
Laminate
unsealed parquet
sealed parquet
PVC
Linoleum
Cork
Marble
Rubber mount
Exposed screed
Customised cleaning modes can also be set via the app. Here it is possible to reduce the amount of water and the roller speed in 5 steps.
When cleaning in a cleaning mode with a low water supply, most of the water remains on the floor. Hardly any water is wiped off the rollers, which means that very little water enters the waste water tank.
The battery symbol on the display shows the battery run time. The display of the battery symbol can be changed via the settings. The battery run time can be represented by:
the filling level of a battery
a minute display
a percentage display
Acoustic or optical signals warn of an empty battery:
An acoustic signal sounds once and a warning appears on the display approx. 5 minutes before the battery is flat.
An acoustic signal sounds twice and a warning appears on the display approx. 2 minutes before the battery is flat.

Charge the battery (see Charging process).
Store the device in a dry room.
Dirt or detergent residues
The waste water tank and the hair filters must be cleaned regularly to ensure that dirt does not accumulate in the tank and hair filters. Dirt particles can clog the hair filters and slots if the device is not cleaned after use. The accumulation of dirt and bacteria can also result in the development of unpleasant odours in the device.
On completion of work, place the device in the cleaning station and start the rinsing process.Clean the floor head in the cleaning station only by using the automatic rinsing process and not by pouring water into the station separately. Make sure that the waste water tank is attached. Do not clean the device or the top or bottom of the floor head under running water or under a shower spray, otherwise water may enter. As long the warning "Tank full" is shown on the LCD display, and the waste water tank has not been emptied, the rinsing process cannot be started.
The LED lighting on the floor head remains switched off during the rinsing process.
