      Before using for the first time, read the enclosed original instructions of this device, the battery pack and the charger as well as the safety instructions. Act in accordance with them.

      Keep these documents for future reference or for future owners.

      • If the operating instructions and safety instructions are not observed, the device can be damaged and dangers could arise for users and other persons.

      • Notify the dealer immediately in the case of shipping damage.

      • Check the package contents when unpacking for missing accessories or for damage.

      Environmental protection

      The packing materials can be recycled. Please dispose of packaging in accordance with the environmental regulations.

      Initial startup

      1. Check hoses for damage before each startup.

      Installing accessories

      1. Attach the spray/suction hose to the spray/suction hose connection on the device and click into place.


        Note

        Remove the spray/suction hose: Press the latch and pull the spray/suction hose out.

      2. Connect the upholstery nozzle to the spray/suction hose and click into place.


      Filling the fresh water reservoir

      DANGER

      Danger from detergents

      Risk of injury and damage

      Observe all instructions that are included with the detergents used.

      Note

      Warm water (maximum 50 °C) increases the cleaning effect. Check the temperature resistance of the surface to be cleaned.

      Note

      Use detergents sparingly to conserve the environment.

      • The total filling quantity is a maximum of 1.7 litres.

      1. Mixing the cleaning solution: Mix the fresh water and the detergent in a clean container (concentration as specified for the detergent). Dissolve the detergent in the water.

      2. Pull the fresh water container vertically upwards and out by the recessed grip.

      3. Pull the container closure upwards and turn it sideways or unlock and remove the container lid.


      4. Fill the fresh water container with the cleaning solution.

      5. Close the container closure or fit the container lid making sure that it is firmly seated.

      6. Fit the fresh water container down to the bottom of the device.

      Inserting the battery pack

      1. Slide the battery pack into the battery holder and lock it in place.

      Charging the battery pack

      Note

      Read the operating instructions of the charger manufacturer and observe the safety instructions in particular!

      Note

      Please read the operating instructions of the battery pack manufacturer, especially the chapters on safety instructions!

      Note

      The battery pack is partially charged on delivery. Charge before use and when necessary.

      Note

      The battery pack can only be charged when it is removed.

      1. Pull the battery pack upwards and remove it.

      2. Charge the battery pack according to the operating instructions of the charger manufacturer and the battery pack manufacturer.

      Operation

      Note

      Only switch on the device when the fresh water container and waste water container are installed.

      Switching the device on

      1. Turn the power switch to position 1 (ON). The suction turbine and pump start.

      Cleaning mode

      ATTENTION

      Danger from cleaning solution

      Risk of damage

      Before using the device, check the object to be cleaned for colour fastness and water resistance in an inconspicuous place.
      1. Remove loose dirt from the object to be cleaned.

      2. Press the lever on the upholstery nozzle to spray the cleaning solution.


      3. Run over the surface to be cleaned in overlapping paths. Pull the nozzle backwards (do not push).

        Note

        When the waste water tank is full, a float switch closes the suction opening and the device runs at a higher speed.

      4. Switch off the device immediately and empty the waste water container.

      Switching off the device

      1. Turn the power switch to position 0 (OFF).

      Emptying the waste water container

      1. Pull the wastewater container vertically upwards and out by the recessed grip.

      2. Unlock and remove the container lid.


      3. Empty the wastewater container.

      4. Close the container lid and make sure that it is firmly seated.

      5. Fit the wastewater container down to the bottom of the device.

      Emptying the fresh water container

      1. Pull the fresh water container vertically upwards and out by the recessed grip.

      2. Pull the container closure upwards and turn it sideways or unlock and remove the container lid.

      3. Empty the fresh water container.

      4. Close the container closure or fit the container lid making sure that it is firmly seated.

      5. Fit the fresh water container down to the bottom of the device.

      Cleaning the wastewater container lid and separator

      Note

      2 grids are fitted to the inside of the waste water container lid (on the separator). If the grids are wet or dirty, the float may not switch correctly or the device may switch off too early. Therefore, ensure that the grids are clean and dry during operation.

      1. Pull the wastewater container vertically upwards and out by the recessed grip.

      2. Unlock and remove the container lid.


      3. Remove the separator.

      4. Carefully clean the container lid and separator with a damp cloth.

      5. Carefully remove moisture with a dry cloth.

      6. Assemble the container lid and the separator.

      7. Close the container lid and make sure that it is firmly seated.

      8. Fit the wastewater container down to the bottom of the device.

      Flushing the device

      1. Connect the upholstery nozzle to the spray/suction hose and click into place.

      2. Pour approximately 1.5 litres of tap water into the fresh water container. Do not add detergents.

      3. Switch on the device.

      4. Hold the upholstery nozzle over a drain.

      5. Operate the lever on the upholstery nozzle and flush the device for 1 to 2 minutes.

      6. Switch off the device.

      After each operation

      1. Flush the device.

      2. Emty the wastewater container and clean it under running water.

      3. Empty the fresh water container.

      4. Clean the wastewater container lid and separator.

      5. To remove any remaining liquid in the spray/suction hose:

        1. Press the latch and pull the spray/suction hose out.

        2. Press the lever on the upholstery nozzle and pour the liquid into a suitable container (suchas a sink, bucket).

      6. Let the device dry thoroughly: Remove the two container lids or open them slightly so that the remaining liquid can dry without leaving any residue.

      7. Clean the fresh water filter (see “Care and maintenance”).

      8. Clean the exterior of the device with a damp cloth.

      9. To avoid unpleasant smells, remove all water from the device before long downtimes.

      Storing the device

      1. Store the spray/suction hose and upholstery nozzle as shown in the illustration.


      2. Store the device in a dry room and secure it against unauthorised use.

      Cleaning methods

      Normal soiling

      1. Press the upholstery nozzle lever for spraying. The cleaning solution is sprayed on and vacuumed off at the same time.

      Note

      Repeated vacuuming without spraying shortens the drying time.

      Heavily soiling or stains

      1. Apply the cleaning solution and allow it to take effect for 10 - 15 minutes.

      2. Clean the area as with normal soiling.

      Cleaning tips

      • Always work from light to shadow (from window to door).

      • Always work from the cleaned to the uncleaned area.

      • The more sensitive the covering the lower the concentration of detergent.

      • Impregnating after wet cleaning prevents the textile from being quickly soiled again.

      • To improve the cleaning result, rinse the object with clean water after using detergents.

      Be aware of the weight of the device during transportation.
      1. Fold the carrying handle upwards.

      2. Grasp the device by the carrying handle for carrying.

      3. When transporting the device in vehicles, secure it to prevent it from slipping or overturning in accordance with the respectively applicable guidelines.

      1. Pull the battery pack upwards and remove it to prevent discharge.

      • Regularly check the device-side contacts in the battery holder for contamination and clean with a damp cloth if necessary. Do not use detergents.

      Cleaning the fresh water filter

      Note

      A filter is fitted to the bottom of the fresh water container, on which dirt particles can settle and thus hinder the water flow. Therefore, regularly flush out the fresh water container.

      1. Pull the fresh water container vertically upwards and out by the recessed grip.

      2. Unlock and remove the container lid.

      3. Rinse the fresh water container with clear water.

      4. Close the container lid and make sure that it is firmly seated.

      5. Fit the fresh water container down to the bottom of the device.

      Cleaning the nozzle mouthpiece

      1. Unscrew the union nut on the upholstery nozzle and remove the nozzle mouthpiece.

      2. Clean the nozzle mouthpiece.

      3. Replace the nozzle mouthpiece and secure it with the union nut.

      Remedy:

      1. Allow the device or battery pack to cool down (overheated board).

      2. Clean or dry the grids in the wastewater container cover.

      No water emitted from the nozzle

      Remedy:

      1. Fill the fresh water container.

      2. Check the connection of the upholstery nozzle and spray/suction hose for correct fit.

      3. Clean or replace the nozzle mouthpiece.

      4. Clean the fresh water filter.

      5. The spray pump is defective, contact customer service.

      Single-sided spray jet

      Remedy:

      1. Clean the nozzle mouthpiece.

      Poor suction performance

      Remedy:

      1. Check the upholstery nozzle for clogging; clean if necessary.

      2. Check the suction hose for clogging; clean if necessary.

      Customer Service department

      If the malfunction cannot be corrected, the device must be checked by the Customer Service department.

      Remedy:

      1. Charge the battery pack.

      1. Clean the nozzle mouthpiece.

      Poor suction performance

      Remedy:

      1. Check the upholstery nozzle for clogging; clean if necessary.

      2. Check the suction hose for clogging; clean if necessary.
