      Read this safety chapter and these original instructions before using the device for the first time. Act in accordance with them. Keep the original instructions for future reference or for future owners.

      • In addition to the notes in the operating instructions, you also need to take into consideration the general safety regulations and accident prevention guidelines applicable by law.

      • Warnings and information notices attached to the device provide important information for hazard-free operation.

      Never touch the mains plug and socket with wet hands.

      Device damage. Never fill the water reservoir with solvents, liquids containing solvents or undiluted acids (e.g. detergents, petrol, paint thinners and acetone).

      Device damage due to dry running. Only switch on the device when water is present in the water reservoir.

      Do not operate the device at temperatures below 0 °C.

      Intended use

      Use the low pressure cleaner in private households only.

      The low pressure cleaner is intended for cleaning machines, vehicles, tools, façades, terraces, garden machines, pets etc. using a low-pressure water stream without additional detergents.

      Environmental protection

      The packing materials can be recycled. Please dispose of packaging in accordance with the environmental regulations.

      Electrical and electronic devices contain valuable, recyclable materials and often components such as batteries, rechargeable batteries or oil, which - if handled or disposed of incorrectly - can pose a potential danger to human health and the environment. However, these components are required for the correct operation of the device. Devices marked by this symbol are not allowed to be disposed of together with the household rubbish.

      Cleaning work producing in oily waste water, e.g. washing engines, washing undercarriages etc., may only be performed at washing stations with an oil separator.

      Working with detergents may only be performed on watertight surfaces with connection to the waste water sewage system. Do not allow detergent to enter waterways or the soil.

      Extraction of water from public waterways is not permitted in some countries.

      Scope of delivery

      Safety devices

      CAUTION

      Risk of injury and damage due to missing or modified safety devices!

      Injuries and material damage

      Safety devices must not be bypass, removed or rendered ineffective. Safety devices are provided for your own protection.

      ON/OFF button

      The ON/OFF button prevents unintentional operation of the device.

      Pressure switch

      If the trigger of the low pressure gun is operated, the pressure switch turns on the pump and the low pressure stream is released.

      If the trigger is operated again and released, the pressure switch turns off the pump and the low pressure stream is stopped.

      Motor circuit breaker

      The motor circuit breaker shuts off the device if power consumption it too high.

      LED codes

      LED colour green
      The battery is charging (LED pulsates).
      The device is switched on, charge state ≥ 50 % (LED lights up).
      LED colour orange
      The device is switched on, charge state 20% -50% (LED lights up).
      Warning of low remaining running time of approx. 4 min. (LED pulsates).
      The battery is fully discharged (LED flashes slowly for 5 seconds).

      Initial startup

      1. ATTENTION

        Risk of damage and leaks when parking in wet conditions, dirt and on loose surfaces!

        Damage and leaks on the device and water reservoir.

        Do not place the device in wet conditions (e.g. puddles, damp lawns) and do not place the water reservoir on a dirty, loose surface (e.g. sand, mud).

        Place the device on a level, horizontal surface.

      Removing the device from the water reservoir

      1. Remove the cover:

        1. Disengage both top caps and unhook them from the cover.

        2. Remove the cover.


      2. Remove the charger and the charging cable from the water reservoir.

      3. Remove the device from the water reservoir:

        1. Fold up the carrying handle on the device.

        2. Lift the device out of the water reservoir:


        Inserting the device in the water reservoir is performed in the reverse sequence.

      Battery charging

      1. Charging the battery:

        1. Release the cover of the charging socket from the device and swing it downwards.

        2. Plug the USB-C plug of the charging cable into the charging socket.

        3. Plug the USB-A plug of the charging cable into the charger.

        4. Plug the charger into a mains socket.


        Note

        The LED pulsates green during the charging process. It lights up for 10 min. green when the battery is fully charged.

      2. After charging

      3. Pull the charger out of the mains socket.

        Note

        Avoid unnecessary energy consumption and unplug the charger once the battery is fully charged.

      4. Pull the USB-C plug out of the charging socket.

      5. Swivel the cover of the charging socket upwards and press it firmly on the device.

      Water supply

      ATTENTION

      Risk of damage due to improper water supply

      Damage to the device and accessories.

      Only fill the water reservoir with clean, clear water and only allow the device to draw in clean, clear water.Do not fill the water reservoir with detergents, pesticides, or other additives and do not vacuum such substances with the device.Do not immerse the device in liquids.Do not use the water reservoir to draw liquids while it is attached to the device.Remove the water reservoir from the device before filling it with water.

      Establishing a water supply from the device's water reservoir

      1. Fill the water reservoir:

        1. Attach the cover to the water reservoir.

        2. Engage both top caps on the cover and hook them in.

        3. Remove the filler plug from the cover and lift it up.

        4. Fill the water reservoir with clean, cold clear water.


      2. Fold down the filler plug and press down.

      3. Place the low-pressure gun next to the device.

      4. Attach the water reservoir to the device:

        1. Place the low-pressure hose into the recess on the device to avoid pinching it.

        2. Place the water reservoir on the device and engage both lower caps.


      5. Remove the water reservoir from the device to refill it with water.

      Suck water from open containers

      1. ATTENTION

        Device with water reservoir without function if valve opener is not installed!

        The device does not pump water.

        Keep the valve opener and the fine filter in a safe place to avoid losing them.Insert the fine filter and the valve opener into the device before operating it with the water reservoir. Make sure that the pins on the fine filter and valve opener point upwards.

        Lever out the valve opener using the suction hose hub or remove it from the device using pliers.


        Installation information

        The pin on the valve opener must point upwards.

        Align the notch on the valve opener with the guide pin on the device.

      2. Remove the fine filter (device) from the device using the suction hose hub or pliers.


      3. Store the valve opener and the fine filter safely, e.g.in the water reservoir.

      4. Install the suction hose:

        1. Insert the suction hose hub into the device.

        2. Turn the suction hose hub slightly to fix it in place.

        3. Hang the suction strainer in a water source (e.g. water bucket, can).


        Note

        At the end of operation, remove the suction hose in reverse order and install the fine filter and the valve opener.

      Operation

      1. Place the device on a level, horizontal surface.

      Operation without detergent

      ATTENTION

      Risk of damage if dry running!

      Dry running damages the pump of the device.

      Do not switch on the device if no water is present in the water reservoir or the suction strainer is not fully submerged in water.Switch off the device as soon as the water reservoir or the external water source is empty.Switch off the device if it does not build up pressure within 2 minutes. Then proceed according to the instructions in Troubleshooting guide.
      1. Press the ON/OFF button.

        The device switches on.


      2. CAUTION

        Risk of injury from spray jet!

        The spray jet may cause injury to eyes and ears.

        Do not aim the spray jet at the eyes or ears of people or animals.

        Pull the trigger to switch on the spray jet.

        The trigger engages and can be released.

        Pull the trigger again and release it to switch off the spray jet.


      3. Carry out the cleaning process:

        1. Pull the trigger to switch on the spray jet.

        2. Carry out the cleaning process.

        3. Pull the trigger and release it to switch off the spray jet.

        Note

        At approx. 20 % remaining running time (see Technical data), the LED starts to pulsate orange. Charge the battery as soon as possible, see Battery charging.

        For further information on the LED, see LED codes.

        If the trigger is not operated for 30 minutes, the device switches off.

      Operation with detergent

      DANGER

      Risk to life and health when handling cleaning agents!

      Improper handling of detergents can lead to death and serious damage to health.

      Observe the safety data sheet of the detergent manufacturer, in particular the instructions on personal protective gear.

      ATTENTION

      Risk of damage due to foreign substances in the water reservoir!

      Foreign substances in the water reservoir will damage the device.

      Do not fill the water reservoir with any detergents, pesticides or other additives.

      ATTENTION

      Risk of damage due to detergents acting too long and drying out!

      Detergent can damage hot surfaces and damage surfaces if left to act for too long.

      Do not apply detergent to hot surfaces and observe the maximum contact time.Do not allow detergent to dry on the surfaces being cleaned.
      1. Spray the detergent sparingly on the dry surfaces and let it work for a while (do not let it dry).

      2. ATTENTION

        Risk of damage if dry running!

        Dry running damages the pump of the device.

        Do not switch on the device if no water is present in the water reservoir or the suction strainer is not fully submerged in water.Switch off the device as soon as the water reservoir or the external water source is empty.Switch off the device if it does not build up pressure within 2 minutes. Then proceed according to the instructions in Troubleshooting guide.

        Press the ON/OFF button.

        The device switches on.


      3. CAUTION

        Risk of injury from spray jet!

        The spray jet may cause injury to eyes and ears.

        Pull the trigger and carry out the cleaning process.

        Note

        Approx. 2 min before the end of the operating time (see Technical data), the operating state LED starts flashing. Charge the battery as soon as possible, see Battery charging.

      Interrupting operation

      1. Actuate the trigger and release.

        The spray jet stops.

        After approx. 30 minutes without being pressed, the device shuts off automatically.

      Ending operation

      1. Press the ON/OFF button.

        The device switches off.

      2. Stop the water supply to the device:

        1. Empty out the water remaining in the water reservoir.

          It can,for example, be used for other cleaning purposes or for watering.

          Or:

        2. Remove the suction hose and install the fine filter and valve opener, see Suck water from open containers.

      3. Press the ON/OFF button.

        The device switches on.

      4. Actuate the trigger and wait until no more water is emitted.

      5. Actuate the trigger again and release.

      6. Press the ON/OFF button.

        The device switches off.

      7. Allow the water reservoir to dry completely.

      8. Stow the low-pressure gun and the low-pressure hose on the device.

      9. Place the device in the water reservoir, see Removing the device from the water reservoir.

      10. Stow the charger and the charging cable in the water reservoir.

      11. Attach the lid to the water reservoir.

      Transport

      CAUTION

      Risk of injury and damage

      Be aware of the weight of the device during transportation.
      1. Observe regulations for dangerous goods during transport.

      Manual transportation

      1. Fold up the carrying handle on the cover and use it to carry the device.

      Transportation in vehicles

      CAUTION

      Risk of injury and damage!

      There is a risk of injury and damage due to tipping and sliding of the device during transport.

      Before transporting the device in vehicles, secure it against slipping and tipping over in accordance with the applicable guidelines.
      1. Switch off the device.

      2. ATTENTION

        Risk of damage due to escaping water!

        If the device is not standing upright, water may escape from the ventilation valve and cause material damage.

        Transport the device upright if water is present in the water reservoir.

        Before transporting the device, stow it away or secure it against sliding, tipping and being thrown around.

      Storage

      CAUTION

      Risk of injury and damage!

      If the weight of the device is not observed, there is a risk of injury and damage.

      Be aware of the weight of the device during storage.

      ATTENTION

      Risk of damage due to frost!

      An incompletely emptied device can be damaged by frost.

      Completely empty the device and accessories before storing them.Protect the device from frost.Store the device in a frost-free place and not outdoors.

      2. Remove the filler plug from the cover and fold it up to prevent odour generation.

      3. Place the device in a closed room on a level surface and store it within the permitted ambient temperature, see Technical data.

      Danger of injury from electric shock

      Switch off the device and unplug the charger from the device before performing any work on the device.

      Cleaning the fine filter

      Clean the fine filters in the device and suction hose regularly.

      ATTENTION

      Risk of damage due to improper cleaning!

      The fine filter is damaged by improper cleaning.

      Clean the fine filter only under running water against its flow direction.Do not use sharp or hard objects such as needles or wire brushes.

        Cleaning the fine filter of the device

      1. Remove the water reservoir, see Establishing a water supply from the device's water reservoir.

      2. Remove the valve opener and fine filter, see Suck water from open containers.

      3. Clean the fine filter with clean, flowing water against the direction of flow.


      4. Install the fine filter and valve opener.

      5. Clean the fine filter of the suction hose

      6. Remove the fine filter:

        1. Turn the suction strainer approx. 45° and

        2. pull it off from the bayonet sleeve.

        3. Pull the fine filter off from the bayonet sleeve.


      7. Clean the fine filter and suction strainer with clean, flowing water against the direction of flow.

      8. The installation is performed in the reverse sequence.

      Removing the battery

      Remove the battery before disposing of the device.

      1. Switch off the device, see Ending operation.

      2. Removing the battery:

        1. Unscrew the screws anti-clockwise using a screwdriver.

        2. Remove the battery compartment cover.

        3. Take the battery out.

        4. Disconnect the electrical socket plug connections.


      3. Dispose of the device and the battery in accordance with the regulations via suitable collection systems, see Environmental protection.

      Troubleshooting guide

      DANGER

      Touching live parts

      Danger of injury from electric shock

      Switch off the device and unplug the charger from the device before performing any work on the device.Have repair work and work on electrical components carried out by the authorised customer service only.

      Malfunctions often have simple causes that you can remedy yourself using the following overview. When in doubt, or in the case of malfunctions not mentioned here, please contact your authorised Customer Service.

      • The device does not run 

      • Device does not reach required pressure 

      • Strong pressure fluctuations or constant switching off/on of the device 

      • The device is leaking 

      The device does not run

      Cause:

      The charging state of the battery is too low.

      Remedy:

      1. Charge the battery, see Battery charging.

      Cause:

      The motor is overloaded, the motor circuit breaker has tripped.

      Remedy:

      1. Switch off the device.

      2. Switch on the device and put it into operation.

      Cause:

      The ambient temperature is outside the permissible range, see Technical data, the motor circuit breaker has tripped.

      Remedy:

      1. Switch off the device.

      2. Allow the device to cool down / heat up.

      3. Switch on the device and put it into operation.

        Have the device checked by Kärcher Service if this malfunction occurs repeatedly.

      Device does not reach required pressure

      Cause:

      Not enough water in the water reservoir.

      Remedy:

      1. Make sure that there is enough clean, clear water in the water reservoir.

      Cause:

      The suction hose does not suck in water.

      Remedy:

      1. Make sure that the maximum suction height is not exceeded, see Technical data.

      2. Ensure that there is sufficient clean, clear water in the open container and that the suction strainer is fully immersed.

      Cause:

      The fine filter in the device or in the suction hose is dirty.

      Remedy:

      1. Clean the fine filter, see Cleaning the fine filter.

      Strong pressure fluctuations or constant switching off/on of the device

      Cause:

      The nozzle is clogged.

      Remedy:

      1. Clean the nozzle: Remove contamination and debris from the nozzle hole, using a needle and rinse with clean, clear water from the front.

      2. Make sure that there is enough clean, clear water in the water reservoir.

      The device is leaking

      Cause:

      The device leaks a small amount for technical reasons.

      Remedy:

      1. In case of more serious leaks, have the device checked by KÄRCHER Service.

      Warranty

      The warranty conditions issued by our relevant sales company apply in all countries. We shall remedy possible malfunctions on your appliance within the warranty period free of cost, provided that a material or manufacturing flaw is the cause.
