      Buttons on the charging station

      Note

The buttons on the charging station can only be pressed when the cleaning robot is in the charging station, as this is the only way to ensure contact with the device.

      Button
      Description
The button is used to start cleaning.
The button is used to select the cleaning modes.
If the symbol lights up, wet and dry cleaning mode is activated.
If the symbol does not light up, only dry cleaning mode is activated.
The button is used to activate the self-cleaning function. This includes:
      • Emptying the waste water tank

      • Filling the fresh water tank

      • Cleaning the roller

      • Drying the roller

      • Emptying the dust bag

      Function of the cleaning robot

      • The mobile cleaning robot draws its energy from a built-in rechargeable battery, which it regularly recharges at the charging station provided. If the battery charge is too low, it automatically returns to the charging station to recharge and, if necessary, pauses the current cleaning task.

      • Once charging is complete, the cleaning robot automatically leaves the charging station and resumes cleaning if a task was interrupted. The cleaning robot also returns to the charging station when it has finished cleaning.

      • The cleaning robot communicates status messages via a voice output and various LED colours on the device.

      • The cleaning robot moves systematically. It scans the room with a laser sensor (LiDAR) and then cleans the room step-by-step. It avoids obstacles that are at least as tall as the built-in laser sensor (LiDAR).

      • The cleaning robot has fall sensors that can detect staircases and steps, designed to prevent it from falling.

      • The ultrasound sensor is used for carpet detection, which can be activated and deactivated individually in the app. Depending on the configuration, the cleaning robot avoids carpets.

      • The cleaning robot has a fresh and waste water tank as well as a microfibre roller, a dust container, a cleaning brush and 2 side brushes. These components make it possible to clean dry and wet at the same time. The suction process collects all dust particles and coarse dirt in the dust container so that no dust particles and coarse dirt are picked up during wet cleaning and collect in the waste water tank.

      • In the multifunctional charging station, the waste water is automatically extracted from the device after each cleaning process, fresh water is added and dust is removed from the dust container. It is also possible to clean, dry and store the cleaning rollers in the charging station.

Suction can only take place under the following conditions:

      • The cleaning robot is in the charging station.

      • A dust bag is suspended in the charging station.

      • The suspended dust bag is not full.

      • The charging station cover is closed.

      • The cleaning robot does not switch to sleep mode when it is on the charging station.

      • The cleaning robot switches off automatically if it is in sleep mode for more than 6 hours

      "Do not disturb" mode

It is possible to activate the "Do not disturb" mode. In "Do not disturb" mode, the cleaning robot does not emit any acoustic warnings. The LED buttons and LED bar are switched off.

"Do not disturb" mode can be activated in the App. Downloading the App is described in the chapter Connecting cleaning robots with WLAN and App.

      Note

In "Do not disturb" mode, the cleaning robot is not switched off. To continue cleaning, briefly press On/Off/Pause button.

      Remote control

In the app, there is the option to navigate the robot if it gets stuck in an inaccessible place, for example.

This remote control can be selected in the app under "Settings" > "Robot settings".

      Initial start-up

      Setting up the charging station

      • Select the location so that the cleaning robot can easily reach the charging station.

        ATTENTION

Risk of damaging the floor due to moisture

The wet roller can damage the floor during charging.

Position the charging station on a water-resistant floor and on the floor protection plate supplied.
      • Ensure a distance of at least 0.5 m to the left and right of the charging station and a distance of at least 1.5 m in front of the charging station.

      • The location must not be exposed to direct sunlight.

      1. Set up the charging station.

      2. Plug the device plug of the power cable into the charging socket on the charging station.

      3. Connect the mains plug.

Connecting the cleaning robot with the charging station

      1. Place the cleaning robot manually on the charging station and make sure that the battery terminals have a good contact.

The cleaning robot switches on automatically. The LED buttons and the LED bar light up.

        Note

During the initial start-up, manual switch-on without contact to the charging station is not possible.

After the initial start-up, the cleaning robot automatically moves to the charging station.

Connecting cleaning robots with WLAN and App

The cleaning robot can be operated directly via buttons on the device or via an App using a WLAN-enabled mobile device. To be able to use all available functions we recommended controlling the cleaning robot via the KÄRCHER Indoor Robots App.

Before you download the app, make sure you have the following:

      • The mobile device is connected to the Internet.

      • The 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz WLAN of the router is activated.

      • Sufficient WLAN coverage is guaranteed.

Download the KÄRCHER Indoor Robots App from the Apple App Store® or from the ™ store.

      • ™ and ™ are trademarks or registered trademarks of Google Inc.

      • ® and ® are trademarks or registered trademarks of Apple Inc.

Connecting cleaning robots with WLAN and KÄRCHER Indoor Robots App:

      1. Download the KÄRCHER Indoor Robots App from the Apple App Store or from the Google Play Store.

      2. Open the KÄRCHER Indoor Robots App.

      3. Create an account (if you are not already registered).

      4. Add the desired cleaning robot.

      5. Follow the step-by-step instructions in the App.

      Startup

      Installing the side brush

      1. Turn the cleaning robot upside down.

      2. Fit the side brushes. Pay attention to the colour assignment on the attachment and on the holder on the device (e.g. black to black).

      Fitting the waste water tank

      1. Push the waste water tank horizontally into the device until it audibly latches into place.

      Remove waste water tank

      1. Press the waste water tank unlocking button and remove the waste water tank from the device.

      Inserting the cleaning roller

      1. Remove the magnetic cover on the roller cassette.

      2. Press the unlocking button on the roller cassette.

The roller cassette detaches from the cleaning robot.

      5. Pay attention to the cassette guide and push the roller cassette into the cleaning robot until it audibly engages.

      6. Attach the magnetic cover to the roller cassette.

Filling the fresh water tank of the charging station

The fresh water tank in the device is primarily filled via the charging station. However, it is also possible to fill the fresh water tank manually, see Filling the fresh water tank.

      ATTENTION

      Risk of damage

Pouring hot water into the fresh water tank can lead to deformation of the plastic.

Do not pour hot water into fresh water tank.

      Note

Always empty the waste water tank first before filling the fresh water tank.

      1. Open the cover of the charging station.

      3. Pull the tab on the cover of the fresh water tank and lift up the cover.

      4. Fill the fresh water tank with cold or lukewarm tap water up to the MAX marking.

      5. If necessary, add KÄRCHER detergent or care agent to the fresh water tank.

        ATTENTION

Poor cleaning result due to incorrect use of the care agent

Over- or underdosing the detergent or care products can lead to poor cleaning results.

Pay attention to the dosage recommendations for the detergent or care agent.

        Note

Do not use detergents from other manufacturers, as this may cause heavy foaming on the floor or in the waste water tank of the device.

In addition, foam may form during the first cleaning runs if there is still residue on the floor from previously used detergents from other manufacturers.

      6. Close the cover.

      7. Re-insert the fresh water tank into the charging station.

      8. Close the cover of the charging station.

      Filling the fresh water tank

It is possible to fill the fresh water tank in the device manually:

      ATTENTION

      Risk of damage

Pouring hot water into the fresh water tank can lead to deformation of the plastic.

Do not pour hot water into fresh water tank.

      Note

Always empty the waste water tank first before filling the fresh water tank.
