Kärcher cleans the steps of the Tian Tan Buddha in Hong Kong

The Tian Tan Buddha on Lantau Island - one of Hong Kong's most popular landmarks - was freed from the grime of decades at the beginning of June as part of the Kärcher Cultural Sponsorship. Completed in 1993, the facility has been exposed to the weather for over 20 years and was therefore heavily polluted.

With the help of a Kärcher high-pressure cleaner HDS 10 / 20-4 M, these signs of time were gently removed so that the staircase up to the bronze Buddha statue now shines again in its old splendour. The project was accompanied by a social media campaign on the channels of Kärcher Hong Kong and numerous reports in local media.
